Energy Gel with Slow Release Carbs contains slow-digesting carbohydrates for longer-lasting energy. Enriched with sea minerals, magnesium and over 70 minerals and trace elements.
The gel contains isomaltulose, a carbohydrate that is slowly digested and has a low GI - all of which contribute to longer-lasting energy during exercise. This also avoids an increase in blood sugar levels and the insulin reaction that occurs with other products containing sugar.
This liquid energy gel has also been enriched with sea minerals. At HIGH5 we always aim to use natural ingredients wherever possible and there is nothing more natural than sourcing minerals from seawater.

Vitamin B6 and magnesium contribute to normal energy metabolism. Magnesium contributes to electrolyte balance. Consuming foods that contain isomaltulose instead of other sugars results in a smaller increase in blood sugar after consumption compared to foods containing sugar.
Energy Gel with slow-release carbohydrates is designed to be taken BEFORE and DURING exercise.
When taking Slow Release Energy, you should aim for around 60g of carbohydrates per hour. This can come from drinks, bars and gels, so mix it up. For example, you can drink 500 ml and eat a bar every hour to get 60 g of carbohydrates.

Take Slow Release Energy 90 – 120 minutes before start. This means your energy stores always remain full when you need them most.
Using Slow Release Energy also has benefits when you exercise for short periods of time and at high intensity. However, if you need energy quickly (e.g. during high-intensity sports), you should take fast-release energy products.
If you participate in short, high-intensity workouts, you can use Slow Release Energy Gel 90-120 minutes beforehand to "recharge" your muscles with a consistent supply of energy.
