Santa Madre Unusual Nitrous is designed for all sports, both short and long, and its total content consists of: 1800 mg nitrate, 21 g sodium carbonates and 750 mg polyphenols.
Nitrous is the ideal pre-workout supplement. On the one hand, it allows a large vasodilatation and increases blood flow, on the other hand, it provides a buffer charge that neutralises part of the athlete's lactic acid. Finally, it provides pre-hydration thanks to its composition and high sodium content.
Nitrate is an important source of nitrogen found in many plants and vegetables. It is recommended as a possible energy supplement for humans. Nitrate improves exercise performance and endurance. It also supports cardiovascular health and promotes cognitive function in young adults.
Sodium bicarbonate is a compound with an alkaline pH value. It neutralises the acidity caused by lactic acid and delays fatigue and muscle congestion. Unusual Nitrous contains 21g of bicarbonate per full dose and was one of the first products with this formula in 2022. Bicarbonate, in combination with other ingredients, improves athletic performance during intense efforts.
Polyphenols are special antioxidants that reduce inflammation in the body. They neutralise free radicals and reduce muscle damage. Extracts from sour cherries provide high levels of anthocyanins, which have rarely been used in pre-workout products to date. This ingredient complements the other ingredients for maximum performance.
Santa Madre Unusual Nitrous works in three ways
1. vasodilation:
The 600 mg of nitrate per dose promotes vasodilation, which is equivalent to 1800 mg of nitrate in three days.
2. buffering effect:
Bicarbonate neutralises some of the lactic acid and helps to maintain effort for longer during intense exercise.
3. anti-inflammatory effect:
Polyphenols reduce inflammation and muscle damage, leading to increased performance.
Application
Single use:
Each dose consists of 3 servings. Each portion (21 g) is dissolved in 400 ml of cold water.
2 days before the test:
Drink the 400 ml throughout the day.
The day before the test:
Also drink 400 ml spread throughout the day.
On the day of the test:
Drink the 400 ml up to 3 hours before the test (in small sips).
Important: Test the product before the race to avoid digestive problems.
Stage race:
Adjust the protocol. Prioritise rest and sleep.
2 days before the race:
Drink 400 ml throughout the day.
The day before the race:
Drink 400 ml throughout the day.
On race day:
Drink the 400 ml in the afternoon, before the next stage (not all at once).
Do not take before the race.
